Core Health Journal (CHJ) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access publication committed to advancing fundamental health sciences, primary healthcare delivery, and core clinical methodologies. Grounded in the principle that robust health systems rely on sound foundational medical knowledge and effective primary care strategies, CHJ serves as an essential forum for clinical researchers, general practitioners, public health professionals, and health educators. The journal emphasizes high-impact research that addresses primary health challenges, essential medical interventions, and core determinants of individual and population well-being.

Scope and Topics

CHJ invites original empirical articles, comprehensive reviews, clinical practice studies, and policy evaluations. Core thematic areas include, but are not limited to:

• Primary Care & Family Medicine: General clinical practice, preventive care protocols, community-based disease management, and patient-centered primary care models.

• Core Clinical Sciences: Internal medicine, basic surgical interventions, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, and fundamental diagnostic protocols.

• Essential Health Interventions: Public health essential services, immunizations, basic nutrition, maternal-child health programs, and disease prevention strategies.

• Health Professions Education & Training: Core curriculum design in medicine, clinical skills assessment, continuing medical education, and interprofessional health training.

• Health System Foundations: Essential drug policies, basic healthcare infrastructure, clinical workflow optimization, and primary health system governance.

Publication Frequency

Core Health Journal (CHJ) is published biannually (2 issues per year: May and November), operating an online-first publication model to support rapid peer review and immediate open-access dissemination.

Peer Review Process

CHJ enforces a rigorous double-anonymous peer review protocol to guarantee scientific validity, methodological soundness, and objective editorial decisions. Submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial review to evaluate topical alignment, structural organization, and ethical compliance (following COPE guidelines and international clinical reporting standards). Manuscripts meeting editorial criteria are evaluated by at least two independent international experts. Review criteria prioritize foundational scientific accuracy, methodological transparency, practical clinical relevance, and clarity of presentation.
