Frontier Engineering & Technology (FET) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing pioneering research, radical engineering advancements, and technological breakthroughs. Positioned at the vanguard of modern applied sciences and industrial engineering, FET provides a global platform for researchers, engineers, and technological innovators. The journal emphasizes transformative multi-disciplinary engineering solutions designed to tackle complex technical paradigms, industrial transition, sustainable infrastructure development, and intelligent system integration.
FET invites original empirical contributions, high-level theoretical architectures, experimental investigations, and systematic engineering reviews. Key areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
Advanced Manufacturing & Robotics: Additive manufacturing, industrial automation, human-robot interaction, mechatronics, and smart production systems.
Intelligent Systems & Computing Infrastructure: Embedded systems, Internet of Things (IoT) engineering, edge computing architectures, quantum computing applications, and cyber-physical systems.
Sustainable Energy & Environmental Engineering: Renewable energy technologies, smart grid systems, energy storage materials, carbon capture technology, and green process engineering.
Civil, Structural & Smart Infrastructure: Advanced structural mechanics, resilient infrastructure design, smart materials, structural health monitoring, and sustainable urban engineering.
Materials Science & Nanotechnology: Next-generation nanomaterials, composite engineering, smart polymers, metamaterials, and micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS).
Frontier Engineering & Technology (FET) is published quarterly (4 issues per year: March, June, September, and December), operating an online-first publication pipeline to accelerate the dissemination of technical innovations.
FET enforces a strict double-anonymous peer review protocol to maintain maximum technical rigor, originality, and scientific accuracy. Every submitted manuscript undergoes an initial editorial evaluation for scope alignment, technical completeness, and ethical compliance. Manuscripts passing desk review are assigned to a minimum of two independent international experts in the respective engineering domain. Review criteria focus on technical novelty, mathematical/experimental validity, engineering design quality, reproducibility, and potential for scalable industrial or technical application.
Mission Statement: > "The mission of Frontier Engineering & Technology is to advance global technological frontiers by publishing high-impact, rigorous engineering research, accelerating industrial translation, and cultivating interdisciplinary engineering solutions for global societal challenges."
